Spotlight on Trojan

A clone or the original? Trojan claims the latter, but so does his counterpart. Nonetheless, Trojan has proven an invaluable partner to his associates within the Supreme Alliance. To the American public he is the young smiling poster boy for the Team, but to his new government he is something of an unknown quantity. And to Turncoat, he is a traitor and impostor.
A Level 1 Infiltrator, Trojan is all about Ranged Attacks and covering fire. His High Velocity Rifle is one of the longest range Attacks in the game at 12 inches; it also has two in-built Strong triggers adding +1 die against all models and another +1 die within 8 inches, with the Action inflicting a basic Damage 2. Hipshot is an equally long-range Reaction to becoming a Target, giving Trojan great defensive threat. Finally, Bionics, costing AP 0 and Fatigue, is Combinable, offering Self/Power Up 1 as basic Effect, and Self/Defend or Self/Power Up as Extra Effects (EFX)
Where things become even more interesting is through Trojan’s Power which allows him to use his own Hipshot Reaction on behalf of a Friendly model when Targeted as long as the triggering Enemy model is within 12 inches of Trojan. This makes it important to deploy Trojan well with good sight-lines to maximize use of Hipshot. The downside of all this firepower is Trojan’s low AP Limit, meaning he either operates offensively (High Velocity Rifle) or defensively (Hipshot) in a Round, but not both. As soon as he uses Hipshot he won’t have enough AP Limit for his High Velocity Rifle Action, so choose wisely.
Trojan obviously works well in a Supreme Alliance Team. He also works effectively in teams with Supremes such as Gentleman and Virgo to give ranged dominance. Finally, he offers excellent cover for Speeders such as Androida and other Infiltrators like Jade Hawk and Skyline, as he can trigger Hipshot in reply to the Attacks inevitably coming their way.

Argh... I was waiting if the courier with prints finally arrives, but it looks they are rescheduled to tomorrow. So next week - we are showing you the cards. And I will have a week to enjoy the smell of the fresh prints.
In the meantime, we are trying to get better at the "normality" at Pulp City and getting back to more or less regular releases. This weekend, finally, two new things will pop up in the store. The picture is a clue what is the one of them :)
Spotlight on Turncoat

Turncoat was given the ignominious code name by his enemies for his uncanny ability to disrupt even the most secretive projects from within. Turncoat can read a political landscape, a battlefield, or a person like it was written in neon letters. He quickly rose to prominence in the Red Republik and is one of the few men who Professor Hammer seeks advice from. The discovery of a clone, and a traitorous one at that, has been unsettling for Turncoat. He now turns all his attention to this imposter’s elimination.
Turncoat is a Level 1 Support for the Red Republik, providing additional AP and powerful ranged attacks. His Explosive Shot has a typical 6 inch range and does Damage 1 to the target and all models within 2 inches of the target. This is a powerful ability as it only requires a single Opposed Roll to put damage on a number of models. Loaded Shot offers a Reaction to being Targeted and can deal 2 Damage and a Follow Up action to anyone that targets Turncoat. His final Action is Finisher, a 1 AP Attack that dealing Damage 1 with no EFX.
Turncoat’s Finishing Touch Power allows him to use Finisher for free once per Activation if he fails to Damage a model with one of his Exclusive Actions. With an AP Limit of 3 it means he can buy up to 3 Finisher Attacks during a Round that he can make again if he loses the roll. This can make him incredibly efficient at clearing out low HP models such as Minions or Level 1 Support models. Opponents will think twice about targeting him knowing that a Loaded Shot can deal damage and trigger a Finisher move if it fails. Having trouble with high Agility models? Use Explosive Shot against a nearby Minion and deal automatic damage to the model close to the Minion.
Turncoat is a clear option in a Red Republik team, especially if you cannot find room for S.P.U.T.N.I.K. A solid Support choice he packs a punch at range and against large groups of enemies. He fits in well with Mysterious Man, being able to use Explosive Shot on any of the hordes of disposable Minions that are around to put Damage on otherwise tough to hit models, or use him with Seabolt or Red Bella who can clump enemies together into tight formations. He is also a solid choice when fighting against the Grimm as their low HP will make them prime targets for quick KO’s.

Howdy Citizens,
In our first March update, let's take a look at the status of the delivery:
Print: Over 40 cards are in print, expected to be delivered next week.
Accessories (Bases): Ready
Metals: In the process of casting, generally trouble free except for one mould (Baroque). From what I heard from casters, the issue should be solved this week.
Resins: Usual bottleneck, we are waiting for the numbers to slowly build up.
Here's how this looks like:
We really wanted to ship everything in one wave, but it's looking like we will start sending out stuff in waves in March.
More to come next week! Stay tuned,

Spotlight on Baroque

The chosen of the orphaned Lazarev twins, Ivan was promised to a mystical society of Russian Aristocracy. Ivan’s heritage unlocked great occult power within him on his 18th birthday. His soul was almost sundered as a demonic entity briefly possessed him before being cast out. Ivan then used his new-found mystical might to free himself from the dark cabal who had had given him luxury and nurtured his power in exchange for entrapment within their plans. Soon reunited with his sister, Baroque now walks the line of morality, his ultimate loyalty to Bulletta alone.
Baroque’s Actions offer a mix of ranged Attack, Defense and Object control. His ranged Attack, Eldritch Bolt, inflicts a basic Damage 1 and Weakens the Target against Mystery – such as another Attack from Baroque in the same Round! In addition, among its EFX Damage 2 in exchange for Baroque suffering Damage 1. Hex Shield of Hekate offers Baroque and Friendly Bulletta Immunity to Effects other than Damage for a Round. Reality Control allows Baroque to Damage and potentially remove Objects from a 6 inch Pulse area, or even add Objects into that area; for 2 AP he changes the distribution of Objects in a 13 inch diameter zone of the board. This may not sound too great at first, but he can place Objects to provide Cover or potentially block LOS, or act as ammunition for Throw Actions and the Smash It Up Combat Bonus – in essence he changes the layout of part of the battlefield, and with an impressive AP Limit of 5 he can do it twice in a Round.
Baroque has total synergy with Bulletta thanks to their Powers and his Hex Shield of Hekate Action. Both models can chain Activate with one another, and can use the other’s Actions – in essence they are two parts of a greater whole, which makes them very powerful when taken together. In addition, as a Level 2 Support Supreme, Baroque provides better durability than a typical Level 1 of the same Role. This allows him to engage more directly than Level 1 counterparts simply due to having the buffer of more HP to resist Attacks, meaning he can maximize the use of his or Bulletta’s Actions.
Baroque naturally works well in either Supreme Alliance or Red Republik Teams. However, with his Eldritch Bolt, he also provides an excellent option to include alongside any Mystery Supremes, since they can exploit the Weakness he can add to victims. Finally, an unusual option may be to include him alongside Stone Hawk, with the two models working together to disrupt Enemy LOS and movement through Reality Control and Stoneshapes.
